During this trip you will have the opportunity to enjoy an astonishing landscape characterized by: houses of the local population, the Afar, flat land with volcanic flows,  colorful stones and the spectacular Goubet Bay and the Devil Island.

We then reach the Assal Lake, the lowest point of the whole Africa (-155 meters). In the blue salted lake the Afar are used pick up the salt still with traditional techniques. Overnight at the basic and simple “campement”, a sort of local wild camp not too far from the lake. Some “rooms” will be available but will be shared by 2, 3 or 4 people.
